Instead go out East (Right) into the Lake until you can go North (Up), then do so for a bit and go West (Left). Turns out, no, you’re actually not supposed to venture out into the lake. When you get to Lilygear Lake there’s a whirlpool that takes you to a circus and this really seems like the next place oyu’re supposed to go, especially since Fredbear keeps talking about the lake.
